(A loveable bunch of warm fuzzies)

Connecticut born, Connecticut raised, (most of us anyways) The Fryalators hail from the wonderful, the great, Milford, located in Southern CT about 15 minutes from New Haven. We prefer to call our style of ska "Frycore" but then, Frycore is so much more than a style of ska. We do our best to try to appeal to people of even the most extravagant of musical tastes, however when it comes right down to it (and it saddens me to say this) we're merely just a ska-punk band... or as an old "friend" of ours used to call it, a "skay" band. And that's the honest truth. (Umm...as opposed to the dishonest truth... the very worst of honest truths... still, I digress.)
So who are these Frybaby's anyways?!
Stacy: backing vocals, T-bone
Kevin: golden
trumpet boy, "I know I sound good!"
Abby: bassist, "Shut up and listen to me!"
Tom: good drummer, and Abby's BF
Kevin: guitarist #2, another "beast" in his own way
Carrie: guitarist, (me, myself, and I) "Dave, sing it really punk-like!"
Ben: Saxophone (He's the young one) Man, Ben kicks at solos!
Dave: Vocals, yea, and Keyboards too (The old one, but doesn't act like it)
The Fryalator
And now... we'd like to take the time to introduce our beloved
instruments---without them, none of this would be possible.
Kevin's trumpet: "Miles" Abby's bass: "Woodie"
Kevin's drums: "The Barcello Set" (he doesn't much care for the name, but he likes to beat them X-tra hard because of it)
Carrie's guitar: "Eisenhower" (nickname: "Ike" I like Ike-he's my new baby.)
Abby's bass amp: "Amadeus" (oh yes, it IS Amadeus)
Stacy's t-bone: "Bierce Jr." (Poppa Bierce being too old to use)
Dave's keyboard: "Keats"
Ben's Sax: "Mortimer" (I guess you could call him "Morty" as well.)
You've been introduced to the FRYALATOR family.
See what we look like.(Do not be alarmed)
- There have been rumors going around that The Fryalators had broken up. To clarify, we have not (see shows below). There was a period of time, a hiatus say, where we were not playing any shows because four out of seven of our band members were away at school. We are back and ready to play. During the time when we had few shows, however, we had a chance to record in a studio (finally) and we're putting out a CD, hopefully soon. See you at the shows!
Luv, The Fryguys and Frygirls.
- Upcoming Fryalator Shows:
Thursday, July 29 @ Cedar Beach on Long Island. This is a free show. I believe we're playing with Spider Nick and the Maddogs, and two other bands whose names have escaped me. Show goes from 8:30 to 11:00 I think.
Friday, August 20 @ Penfield Pavillion in Fairfield, CT, with T.I.P. and 5 Knuckle Shuffle.
If there are any questions about directions or band line-ups or whatever, email us.
Lots more shows are in the works and if you book shows, we'll play anywhere for any amount of money (even none... what a concept, eh? We just LOVE to play)! Call Stacy @ 203-878-9081, or email Carrie.
- The Fryalators have been chosen to be on three compilations:
SuperToad Records ska compilation
Lactose Intolerance Records punk and ska compilation
Skully Records CT ska compilation
